Agatha Oddly and The Secret Key

by Lena Jones

The story

Agatha Oddly has dreamed of being a detective since a young age but has never found a proper case. However, when London has a water crisis and all that is coming out of the pipes and all the taps is lumpy red gloop, Agatha and her best mate Liam have to find out what is going on.

Agatha’s Dad has been working in Hyde Park for as long as he can remember, and loves nothing more than getting his hands dirty. So, living in the chief game keeper’s cottage is a pleasure until Agatha’s father has a strange visitor who is not really who he seems.

Soon Agatha finds out that underneath London is not as simple as one would think, due to her Mother’s secret key which she found in an old book. An Underground world full of secrets and mysteries lies ahead of her.  Agatha and Liam must find out what is feeding the algae as it cannot be clogging peoples’ pipes all by itself, before something worse could happen to London.

My thoughts

I really enjoyed this book because it was really hard to put down and had a lot of tension and caused suspense. This book tells you how important it is to be a good friend and always keep spare water in the cupboard just in case!
