The story
Marnus has two brothers. Bendovo is good at breaking swimming records, drinking protein drinks and making every girl fall for him. Adrian meanwhile is Marnus’s younger brother, a young entrepreneur who will do anything to make money. That even means starting a nursery tuck shop aged three. Marnus is in the middle, never noticed, getting forced to clean the dishes even though everybody’s supposed to do their fair share of the housework. One day in the December holidays a girl called Leila turns up on the doorstep asking Marnus to sign a petition to save a most amazing tree from being chopped down.
Marnus discovers that he’s never looked at trees the same way before. By sitting in the tree to stop two angry men from chopping it down can they save it?
My thoughts
This morning we got back from New York and looking for a good read I picked up this book. It was so brilliant I read it all at once! It is about friendship and love but with a really emotional punch. I loved this book so much, it is a must read.
